Visit to Oldage Home


On 10 March 2011 visited Oldage Home at Kallianpur. Bedsheets and towels were given to the inmates of Oldage Home. Snacks, fruits were distributed. Entertainment and games were conducted by the inner wheel members.

Empower 2011


8th March 2011 being the International Womens Day organized a seminar 'Empower 2011' at Nutana Ravindra Mantap, MGM College, Udupi. This was the joint programme of Inner Wheel Club Udupi, Manipal Mahila Samaj, Lioness Club and Power Enterprenuer. C. Ahswathama, Principal of Women's First Grade College, Udupi spoke on Enterprenueral Motivation and Mrs. Malini Hebbar, Professor St. Agnes, Mangalore spoke on Home, Office and Time Management; Many stalls of women enterprenuers were exhibited at the venue. On this day we have honoured Mrs. Sushila Upadhyaya for her Literary contributions.

International Inner Wheel Day

On 11th Feb 2011 celebrated the International Inner Wheel Day and Inner Wheel Family Meet at Vidyodaya Public School Auditorium. Celebrations was inaugurated in an unique way by lighting the candles and spreading the light of friendship and service. Members of Parent Club Rotary Udupi was invited. Entertainment programme was organized by our members, in which they showed their talents in organizing skit, singing, acting, dancing, mime show, etc. Spouses of our members also participated in the entertainment programme. Programme came to end by Dinner.

Honey I Love You !


Yes,  after knowing the qualities of it you would certainly love Honey.  It is equal to Amrutha. It rejuvenates the whole body and prevents from degeneration only by consuming it, not by knowing about it. If we consume pure honey daily it increases memory power and wards off the laziness or weakness of the brain. To know the purity of it add one tea-spoon of Honey in a glass of water, if it setteles down it is pure Honey. It has varieties of healing power.

Let us know its medicinal qualities:

  • Persons with high BP will benefitted if they drink 3 tea-spoon honey with water in empty \stomach.
  • If you drink 2 tsp  Honey with luke warm water, it will reduce the body weight.
  • Make paste of Honey with cinnamon powder, apply on bread or chapathy instead of jelly or jam and eat it regularly for break-fast. It reduces the cholestral level in artery and saves the from heart attack.
  • Take one part of Honey and 2 parts of luke warm water and add half tsp of cinnamon powder, make a paste and massage on the aching part of the body slowly. It is noticed that the pain reduces within a minute or two.
  • Arthritis patients may take daily twice one cup of hot water with 2 tsp Honeyand ond small spoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured.
  • Those who suffer from common or severe cold should take one table spoon Honey with quarte spoon of cinnamon powder daily for 3 days.
  • Cinnamon  powder sprinkled on 2 table spoon of Honey taken before food releives acidity.
  • Advanced cancer of stomach and bones have been cured successfully through Honey.
  • Sugar contents of Honey is more helpful to the strength of the body of senior citizens, who take Honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts, are more alert and flexible.
  • If you consume 2 tsp of Honey in a cup of warm milk before bed you will be having sound sleep.
  • If anything that is consumed more even if it is Amrutha it is going to be Visha. So consume it the way it is necessary for the body.
  • I would like to add one precaution : that Honey must not be heated and in summer Honey must not be consumed in hot water.

18 members from our club participated in 41st Inner Wheel District 318 Conference “Sanghamitra” held at Mangalore on 11 and 12th December 2010. Our members participated in various competitions like innovative Hydo, Origamy and majestically Dressed Competitions, Spot Games and have won many prizes.

Our Club President Pushpa G. Rao was the guest at Milagres College for the Valedictory function of the Women's Forum. Many prizes were distributed for various competitions which was sponsored by our club.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood Donation Camp was organized in association with Rotary Club of Ambalpady & Rotaract Club of Ambalpady at Higher Primary School, Ambalpady more than 25 members donated blood.



Regular Club Meeting

Regular club meeting was held at the residence of our Club member Mrs. Sapna Suresh. Club Bulletin “Kasturi” was released. Birthday and Anniversary wishes were given. Smt. Saroja  taught our members the different ways of tying flowers which was innovative and very interesting.
