NAYANAM PRADANAM INDRIYANAM

"Nodalu eradu kannu saladamma"  Yes,   I am telling about the beauty of the nature. God has blessed us with one set of camera i.e. Eyes with vision to see the world its creations. If our eyes are normal, we will be able to see and differentiate  good, bad, ugly, beauty etc.

Eyes are supposed to be the windows of the brain. Brain can analise and recognise things correctly with sight.  We are enjoying the seasons with its changes like blooming, fruiting and some times the bare trees also.

Unfortunately some people are deprived of this. Because of that many children and elders are not able to see the world properly.  We can not do anything about the  absence of it. But we can certainly help others to maintain their vision and prevent the loss.  Many of them are loosing their sight or vision because of ignorance, accident, poverty and inability to reach the medical provision because of village limitations. For them the service clubs and service oriented medical institutions are helping their level best by approaching to their venues.

No work is a success unless it is done with able hands together. Everybody  knows that. That is why our InnerWheel club joined with Udupi Rotary, Hebri Lions and Hebri Lioness club and along with this, District Government hospital Hebri in last week of September.  It was an eye screening camp. Around 200 patients attended it; got their eyes examined. Needy persons were given spectacles, and those  who needed surgery got registered their names and the rest were provided medication at the camp.

When we sat in the car for our return journey from Hebri I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that  " We have not lived in vain."
